POSITION TITLE: Logistics/Trucking Manager
POSITION DUTIES: Responsible for directing and managing the daily logistics of the trucking
transportation operations. Utilize DAT Freight and Analytics Load Board to find
heavy haul loads and to establish connections with freight brokers and shippers.
Establish and maintain long-term working relationships with freight brokers,
shippers, drivers, government officials, and any other agency resources. Direct, plan
and coordinate the scheduling of pickup and delivery of heavy haul loads over the
road. Ensure all drivers, trucks, and other equipment are in compliance with the U.S.
Department of Transportation, state, city, and county laws and regulations for all
jurisdictions along each heavy haul route both inbound and outbound. by conducting
daily pre-trip inspections according to best practices, company policy and
procedures. Procure and maintain accurate records and data for all licensing and
other regulatory documentation as required by state and federal regulations. Oversee
and supervise cargo documentation and movement control for all modes of
transportation. Analyze pricing policies, level of service provisions, timetable
changes, etc. to assess efficiency, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement company’s best practices, standards, policies and procedures
regarding transportation metrics, reporting, document processing, service logs, and
training and safety records maintenance. Negotiate and set billing rates, negotiate
prices and logistics services contracts with customers, drivers, and any other
third-party vendors. Responsible for resolving service and mechanical issues and
issues relating to accessorial pay with appropriate parties in accordance to
established contracts. Responsible for administrative duties including, but not limited
to, processing and approving drivers’ road time and flat rates, accurate billing data,
invoicing, payment coding and processing, and preparation and submission of 2290
tax forms. Prepare reports and documents as required by the President, Government
Agency, and any other local state, city, county, and federal authorities.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a closely related field, plus one (1)
year of experience which must include:
● Operations management
● Negotiating contracts and rates
● Dispatching, routing, and tracking of vehicles
● Troubleshooting roadside malfunctions
A valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required for this position
